If you are planning to start a new business or expand into a new location, you will need to either find an existing facility to move into or you will need to build a new facility. Our team at Tucker Land Development is here to help you should you choose the second option.

What Is Involved in Commercial Land Clearing

We have extensive experience in commercial land clearing, and you can count on us to get your site ready to begin construction as soon as possible.

  • Removal of Vegetation – The first step in commercial land clearing usually consists of removing trees, shrubs, and other vegetation to make room for the buildings to go in. In some cases, we may be able to leave some trees if there is enough space between them and the building itself, but the more common solution is to clear existing trees and plant new ones later.
  • Removal of Stumps and Rocks – In addition to removing trees and vegetation, we will also remove other obstacles to construction, such as boulders and stumps. If there are rock formations on your planned build site, we will break them up and remove them so you can dig your foundation and proceed with construction as planned. We’ll also remove all tree stumps to ensure the roots do not continue to grow underground and cause damage to your utility lines.
  • Excavation – We also take care of excavation as part of our commercial land clearing services. Very few sites are ready for construction in their natural state, so we have to use earth movers to flatten out the land so the building can go on top. In addition, we will likely need to adjust the grade of the land to ensure water flows away from the building, rather than towards it. This step may also involve the installation of storm drains and other erosion control measures.
